About Ann Wylie
Develop world-class communication skills with an internationally award-winning business communicator
Ann Wylie runs a company called Wylie Communications Inc. She works with communicators who want to reach more readers and with organizations that want to get the word out.
Before starting her firm, Ann was editor of Hallmark Cards’ employee magazine, CROWN. Under her leadership, CROWN was named the best publication of its kind in the nation by Women in Communications (WIC) and best of its kind in the world by IABC.
Ann also served as editor of a regional executive magazine and as a PR professional in a boutique public relations firm.
Her work has earned 40 communication awards, including a WIC Clarion and two IABC Gold Quills — the Pulitzer Prizes of business communications.
Now Ann handles special writing and editing projects for Saint Luke's, Reader's Digest, The Mayo Clinic and dozens of other major clients. She helps such organizations as FedEx, Sprint and Northern Trust launch or improve their publications.
Ann’s popular workshops take her from Atlanta to Amsterdam, from Boston to Brussels, from Hollywood to Helsinki and from Portland to Paris. There, she helps communicators at NASA, Humana, SC Johnson, Motorola, Nokia, AT&T, America Online, H&R Block and other organizations polish their skills and find new inspiration for their work.
Ann has been designated an "IABC Recommended Speaker" for her top ratings at IABC International Conferences. She serves as the Public Relations Society of America’s national writing coach.
Ann holds an M.A. in journalism from the University of Kansas. In addition to her full-time work, she taught graduate communication courses at Webster University for more than a decade.
